The Western Auto sign in Kansas City is an iconic piece of the city's history, often recognized as one of the most famous neon signs in the United States. It originally served as an advertisement for Western Auto, a retail chain that sold automotive parts, tools, and hardware.
To us, it’s one of the most iconic parts of the skyline and says “Kansas City” through and through, so we took that literally and incorporated it into the lettering of the design.
